This is our 3rd year creating the Days of Joy kits. Our design this year is both colorful, bright and joyful.

Our kit includes:

  • 4 crafts kits with directions
  • Ramadan Journal kit
  • Sadaqah Box

Favor Garland

Favor Decoration

Img_1741

I'd initially planned to create something a little more elaborate but as I started it seemed that less would be more and the graded tones of paper make this a doubly sweet favor hanging.

Tenderloin Iftar

Img_1751

Zawaya sponsored it's eighth annual Ramadan Iftar for Muslim families living in the Tenderloin last night. The scale and coordination of this event is amazing to witness and everything reflected a spirit of hospitality and generosity. They had many cheerful volunteers, wonderful food, including 7 whole lambs and gifts for the families. The topping on the evening was seeing the children's beaming faces as they were leaving with their bags of gifts.

Orchid In Water

Floral and Candle Centerpiece

Img_0292

This refreshing arrangement can be made in moments and will last for many days.

All that is needed is an orchid, leaf, or floral strand, vase and candle. Fill the vase with water, add the floral or leaf stem and float a candle on the top.
